REVEREND JOHN O. VEASEY, JR.
Pastor John O. Veasey, Jr. is a native of North Little Rock Arkansas. He is the sone of Mrs.
Ester Veasey Watson and the late John O. Veasey, Sr. Pastor Veasey is a graduate of Jacksonville High School, Jacksonville,
Arkansas and Capitol City Business College, Little Rock, Arkansas, where he received a degree in drafting. Pastor Veasey
graduated from Carolina University of Theology where he recieved a Bachelor of Arts in Ministry and a Master's of Arts in
Theology. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Theology from Northwestern Theological Seminary.
Pastor
Veasey was licensed and ordained to preach the gospel at Clayton Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas.
While in Arkansas, he served as Pastor of Good Stewardship Baptist Church in North Little Rock, Arkansas for eight years.
He served as Pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Petus, Arkansas for three years. He is the former Director of Black
Churches with the North Pulakski Association of North Little Rock, Arkansas. Pastor Veasey also worked as chaplain for
Children's Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Prior to being called as Pastor of First Baptist Missionary Church,
Pastor Veasey served as an Associate Minister of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Gastonia, North Carolina. He also served
as Sunday School Superintendent.

is extremely grateful to God for blessing this great union of pastor and church (2006-present). Under his leadership, First
Baptist Missionary Church has grown numerally and spiritually. With a staff of men and women to assist him, he is committed
to creating and cultivating an authentic church experience that glorifies God and exceeds all expectations. Pastor Veasey's
unwavering compassion for people along with his faithfulness to build into God's people, a spirit of evangelism, a drive to
equip, poise for fellowship and praise, will continue yielding great results in First Baptist - "Where The Spirit Flows." During his leadership
the following Ministries have been added: Bible Institute, Praise Team, Youth Bible Study, New Member's Facilitators,
Singles Ministry, Women's Ministry, Program Committee, Young Lioins, Finance Committee, Media/Website and Sanctuary Choir.
Pastor Veasey is married to Minister Sherry Grier Veasey. They reside in Wilmington, NC. Pastor Veasey
loves the Lord and is humbled and proud to serve as the Pastor of First Baptist Missionary Church. It is his desire
for all to be a part of God's family.
