CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS

Auxiliary/Ministry & Family/Individual pictures will be taken for our hardcover pictoral. Monday, August 30 through Friday, September 3. A schedule for the Ministries & Auxiliaries is located on the bulletin board in the rear vestibule. For more information see Sister Freda Murphy.

Suggestion Box -- Pastor's Aid Auxiliary will place the box at the rear door to receive your input regarding Pastor's Veasey 2011 Anniversary, Please leave your name if you wish to serve on the committee. Deadline: August 2010.

August 18 -- Holy Convenant United Holy Church of America, 237 Snowfield Road, Leland, NC, will have their 1st Annual Youth Revival at 7:00 pm. Reverend Valerie Troy and our Youth Choir will render service.

Autust 21-- Youth Choir will rehearse at 11:00 am

August 21 -- KEMBA will have a Mission Program at 10:00 am. All KEMBA Churches are asked to support this program. For more info see the flyer on the bulletin board in the rear entrance

August 22 -- Baptism for new members will be rescheduled at a later date

August 24 -- Pastor Veasey, Youth Choir and Praise Team will render service for the New Beginning Christian Church Conference onat 7:00 pm at 1415 S. 17th Street -- inside the Scottish Rite Building. All are invited to attend.

August 27 & 28 -- KEMBA Ministers & Deacons Union -- Host: First Baptist Bowden

August 28 -- The women of Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, 7500 Carolina Beach Road, will host their Womens Conference titled I Am My Sisters Keeper from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Saturday at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 29. Registration, with a continental breakfast, will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 28; sessions will begin at 9:15a.m. Pre-registration requested, but not required. Casual attire on Saturday and the conference theme colors are pink and white. Featured presenters are: Rev. Patricia Freeman, Pastor, Bethel AME Church, Leland, N.C.; Elder Linda Rawley and Dr. Virginia Adams, Union Missionary Baptist Church, Wilmington; Minister Addie Bonsignore, Global River Church, Wilmington; and Ms. Marquita Brown, Port City Community Church, Wilmington. On Sunday, August 29th the Honorable Phyllis Gorham, Superior Court Judge and Minister from Global River Church, will be the keynote speaker. All members are invited to attend. August 29 -- KEMBA Ushers Association Joint Session -- Host: First Baptist Warsaw

September 18 -- KEMBA Ministers' Wives and Widows will present "The Beauty of a Virtuous Woman: Inside and Out" at KEMBA Headquarters Building in Warsaw, NC at 8:30 am - 1:00 pm. Workshops and a fashion show will be included. The registration fee is $10.00, which includes a workshop packet, breakfast and lunch. Registration forms are in the church office.

August 29 -- Youth Church will do their Outreach Ministry at the 10th Street Park and parents are asked to have your children their by 10:45 am. In case of a rain forecast, Children's Church will resume at First Baptist. Questions, contact Reverend Stallings or Reverend Troy.
